 Obedience training does is to create a common language for you and your dog. This lets your dog know the proper response that you expect in place of socially maladaptive behavior.  Your pet's problems are often a result of the animal's inability to cope with stress. Training is to raises the pet's stress threshold so your pet can tolerate higher levels of stress.  Love your dog with affection, but never lose sight of the fact that you are the master. This is where many dog training techniques go wrong and your dog does not recognize the status of your relationship. |
